Migrating away from Dotster...

Sporktek was originally registered through Dotster way back in 2000. This year, technical issues with their management console prevented me from renewing the domain in a timely fashion and it lapsed from the registry. Dotster's only solution was to offer to charge me a large fee to get my domain out of redemption, or wait until it completely expire and allow it to be dropped from the registry so that I could re-register. I chose the latter, but I have instead chosen a different registrar. Sorry, but if your poorly built and maintained web app causes me significant downtime, and you can't even offer to discount the redemption fee, I can't really do business with you any longer.
